FOCUS: Women in Ministry Leadership
This session is dedicated to the theology and practical realities of women in ministry leadership. Under Dr. Marion Ingegneri’s direct leadership, significant video work was created and available in the cohort video library. Our November featured speaker, Dr. Jerry Dirmann, presents the videos. Dr. Steve Schell is one of the theologians presenting on the WIML video series. He will open the Bible and provide the simple truths on this important topic. Rev. Her experiences, practical life stories, and conviction for living within God’s principles help us navigate the practical realities.

FEATURED SPEAKER:
Dr. Steve Schell is one of the most qualified theologians the WIML team could ask to approach women in ministry leadership (WIML). While we have many resources available on this topic, dedicating a session to it will truly catapult you to new levels of confidence. Dr. Steve's down-to-earth approach is refreshing, and his knowledge of the scriptures is astounding.
After graduating from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, Steve earned his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees at Fuller Theological Seminary. In 1979, Steve and his wife, Mary, responded to the Lord’s call to pastor a Foursquare Church in Oak Harbor, WA. During the mid-80s, he taught Greek and Old Testament Prophets, Bible Interpretation, and Preaching at L.I.F.E. Bible College (now Life Pacific University) in California. In 1987, Pastor Steve pioneered a church in Tempe, Arizona. In 1991, he became the Senior Pastor of Northwest Church in Federal Way, WA. During his 28 years pastoring Northwest Church, Steve served on the Board of Directors of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel and has chaired the Education, Governance, and Doctrine committees. Steve’s sermons were also heard on the daily radio broadcast Life Lessons with Dr. Steve Schell, which aired on stations across the U.S. for 20 years. Steve is President of Pastoral Resource Ministry, a non-profit organization committed to providing books, classes, and materials to pastors and Bible study leaders to help them effectively teach the Word of God.
